Following the instructions on the cake mix box, make and bake the cake. Coloring the batter is optional. Allow the cake to cool before mixing with the frosting in the next step. 2. Mix the butter and powdered sugar to make the frosting. Mix in the cake until you can form 1 inch to 1.5 inch balls. 3.
